"It's an honor to be the first global organization awarded this privilege -- a key role fueling the growth of Vietnam's actively evolving labor market," said Jeffrey A. Joerres, Chairman and CEO, Manpower Inc. "Offering a more robust workforce solution in Vietnam -- and across the Asia Pacific -- is a key part of our growth strategy, allowing us to better help our clients increase their productivity and win in the changing world of work."
The permanent license follows Manpower's Vietnamese licensure as an outplacement and human resources firm and the opening of Manpower's first Vietnam branch in Hanoi in January 2008. With the addition of its Vietnam operation, Manpower Inc. has 82 operations and more than 4,400 offices worldwide.
"We are looking to set a new standard in Asia's employment services industry and we intend to become the recruitment partner of choice for those working in Asia's most dynamic emerging economy," said Peter Haglund, Country Manager of Manpower Vietnam. "The launch of our Hanoi branch is only the beginning. We look to continue to grow our market presence and expand our breadth of services with our Manpower and Manpower Professional brands."
Manpower's other Asia Pacific operations include Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
