MILWAUKEE, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ManpowerGroup (NYSE: MAN), the world leader in innovative workforce solutions and World Economic Forum (WEF) strategic partner, will lead discussions at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2014 in Davos, Switzerland later this month advising business leaders how they can successfully address the evolving macroeconomic forces that are putting pressure on the world of work in the Human Age.

This marks the 10th year of ManpowerGroup's strategic partnership with WEF. At the 2011 Annual Meeting, ManpowerGroup first announced that the world had entered the Human Age, where human potential is the major agent of economic growth. Last year, ManpowerGroup revealed that Human Age forces had strengthened, becoming more intertwined and difficult to separate — like a Gordian Knot.

"One year on, the Gordian Knot has tightened. The full weight of the trends ManpowerGroup identified previously are felt by labor markets, employers, economies and employees," said Jeffrey A. Joerres, ManpowerGroup Chairman and CEO. "What keeps a company relevant in today's unpredictable environment, and is essential to their success and sustainability, is the ability to remain agile and flexible in the face of constant economic shifts." Tweet: @ManpowerGroupJJ: To remain relevant in today's uncertain economic environment, companies must be agile and flexible.

Joerres will lead WEF Davos session titled "Solving the Employment Equation", discussing ways to reduce structural unemployment, improving employment globally and creating environments that promote entrepreneurship. He will be joined at Davos by Jonas Prising, ManpowerGroup President; Mara Swan, Executive Vice President, Global Strategy and Talent; and Hans Leentjes, President of Northern Europe.
